About Facilitation for Integrated Community Rural Development

FICRD Uganda is an indigenous not-for-profit volunteer-based grass root level organization that was established in July 2006 as a charity voluntary CBO, Not for Profit Organization, and registered in April 2010 as a Company limited by Guarantee. It’s duly recognized and permitted to operate in Uganda by Law. The organization plays a major role in complimenting government development programmes at national and local levels.

FICRD gained solid experience and understanding of the ethnic differences and the complexity of issues they face especially the women, girls, children and youth. FICRD has supported women and girls’ rights since its inception,

Capacity building

FICRD organizes capacity building trainings, workshops and seminars for their staff, district health service providers and volunteers so as to broaden their knowledge on current pressing health issues in the communities.

HIV/AIDS Programme

FICRD offered HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT) to young people age 10-24 years, PCR/DBS testing to Children 0-12 months, Children 1-5 years, SACCOs members communities. We also provided services to MARPs community.


FICRD is managed by a Board of Directors who are the policy makers of the organization. The administration teams comprise of the Executive Director, Administrator, Centre Managers, Program Managers,

Agricultural rehabilitation

FICRD plans to offer training in improved methods of farming to the communities of Lango, Acholi and Teso sub regions. We intend to offer agricultural products like improved quality seeds for distribution, while agricultural extension workers will follow up in the target areas.

LRA War Victims

FICRD offered emergency relief and support Lango War Victims Group called Lango War Claimants Association (LAWCAS) Uganda. LAWCAS is a forum of war victims who lost their dear ones, property and animals during the war.

Conflict resolution

FICRD is running a program on conflict resolution, transformation and management. We intend to reach out to the targeted communities handling SGBV and child labour reduction

Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment aims at promotion women to take lead role in democratic norms and culture in the operational area. Two types of activities are undertaken in this theme:
